Toronto Ripley’s Aquarium

Imagine walking under water. Fish swimming over your head, sharks so close you can almost touch them and looking at what appears to be the ocean floor only to realize it’s a fish hiding in the sand. Imagine walking around forests of kelp as high as a two story buildings and observing  entire walls of jelly fish light up in beautiful colours. Imagine seeing seahorses with masterful camouflage while also observing amazingly bright fish that demand your attention.  Such is the magical experience of the Toronto Ripley’s aquarium.

Going to the aquarium is definitely an amazing experience! Right in the heart of Toronto it is a great edition to the downtown experience 😀

Adult admission for the full day is  $30, which is reasonable for the experience, you wont regret going, but if you go during the midday hours (especially if it is on the weekend) the place will be packed, so if you want some romantic time or just a relaxing visit you should go later in the day or at night.

That being said, there is a HUGE amount of fun things for kids (and us big kids) to do! The whole aquarium is very family oriented with lots of fun places to take pictures and explore!crabtunasubmarine

Also, Ripley’s has a bunch of interactive activities all over the aquarium including petting sharks, sting rays and horseshoe crabs 🙂petting shark

All in all, taking a trip to the aquarium is a guaranteed fun time. Standing on the conveyor belt that takes you on an underwater adventure is truly a surreal experience. Everywhere you look you’ll see fish of all shapes, sizes and colours swimming over your head, and if you’re lucky you may even catch sight of some handsome looking fish 😉

:P
